As a result of the investigation for the wider range of the exhaust filters, 32 out of 76 filters have been confirmed to be breached, Tepco announced on the 27th of September, 2021.
As of the 21st of September, 2021, 29 filters were found breached and Tepco was conducting the additional inspection.
The cause of the filter damages still hasn’t been identified. The total number of damaged filters is estimated to grow as there are still 200 more systems to be inspected.
